How to Make the 250th Anniversary Centerpiece

  • Paint the Boxes

Use red white and blue spray paint or acrylic paint to cover the tissue boxes.

  • Prepare the NumbersCut 250 out of gold glitter craft foam and cut out the same numbers larger in white glitter foam. These will be layers to gift the gold a white border. Glue the gold numbers on top of the white numbers.

  • Decorate the Box

Cut pieces of cardboard or foam board and glue them to the back of the letters. This elevate them from the box to give height and dimension . Glue the numbers on to the boxes with a hot glue gun.Cut out red, white and blue stars out of craft foam and attach them to the boxes with hot glue.

  • Add Decorative Balloon Weights Spray Centerpieces

place red, white, and blue metallic spray centerpieces picks inside the opening of the box to create height and dimension. You can arrange them outward to give the centerpiece a burst of color.

  • Attach the Flags

Place small American flags behind or beside the numbers. They instantly add a patriotic feel and tie the whole piece together.

  • Add Lights

Arrange LED string lights around the balloon weights and  weave them through the decorations. This gives the centerpiece a warm glow, especially for evening celebrations. I like to use flashing led lights to make them look like fireworks.

  • Arrange on a Tray (Optional)

If you want a more finished look, place everything on a small tray or base. You can add extra embellishments like ribbon, stars, or confetti.

  • Display and Enjoy!

Place your centerpiece on a dining table, entryway, or outdoor setup. It’s eye-catching, festive, and perfect for celebrating the 250th Anniversary.
