How to make Patriotic Mason Jar Lanterns

  1. Start with a clean, dry mason jar. I reused jars I already had or you can get them from Dollar Tree.
  2. Mix acrylic paint with a small amount of pouring medium to help it flow smoothly.
  3. Pour red, white, and blue paint around the inside rim of the jar.
  4. Slowly tilt and rotate the jar so the colors swirl and coat the glass.
  5. Optional – To dry faster turn jar dry upside down on a paper plate to allow excess paint to drip out.
  6. You can place the jar outside to also let it dry faster.
  7. Once dry, place an LED candle, fairy lights or tea light inside for a beautiful glow.
