DIY Easter Basket

This Minecraft Bunny DIY Easter basket is fun and easy to make for anyone who loves Minecraft! Rather than have a traditional Easter basket, who wouldn’t love to be surprised with a custom-made, video game-themed Easter basket. This Minecraft bunny Easter basket doesn’t have to be just for Easter. It can be made as a decoration or a cute container to hold Minecraft toys.

This can also be a fun Easter craft to make with kids. This DIY Easter basket is very inexpensive to make with only a few materials. For less than $3, you can get all of the craft supplies needed to make this DIY Easter basket. To make this design you will need a reused brown box, cardboard, different colors of paper and felt.

Materials for DIY Easter Basket Minecraft Bunny

  • Reused Brown Cardboard Cube Box
  • Reused Cardboard
  • Three Colors of Cardstock (Dark Brown, Medium Brown, Light Brown)
  • Pink Felt
  • Black Felt
  • Craft Glue
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Ruler

How to Make DIY Easter Basket Minecraft Bunny

Step 1: Cut ears out of cardboard. The grid for the square pattern is 1″ x 1″ . The ears should be 5 inches long by  2 inches wide.

Step 2: Cut a half inch slit into the end of each ear. Apply hot glue into each slit and slide into side of the box to secure the ears.

Step 3: Use a ruler to draw a grid on the box to make the pattern for the paper squares. The grid is 1″ x 1″.

Step 4: Cut out the paper squares in all different colors. The grid is 1″ x 1″ so cut out 1″ squares.

Step 5: Glue the paper squares to the box with craft glue. Alternate the different colors so it looks like a Minecraft bunny.

Step 6: Cut a 4″ x 1″ piece of the pink felt for the ears and attach to the ears as shown.

Step 7: Cut a 1″ x 1-1/2″ piece of pink felt for the nose and glue to the front of the box.

Step 8: Cut a 2″ x 1″ piece of black felt for the eyes and glue to face on each side of the nose.

Step 9: Fill the DIY Easter Basket Minecraft Bunny with green tissue paper and and you are done!

You now have a fun, custom made Minecraft Bunny Easter Basket and decoration!
