Princess Daisy Costume
My first introduction to the Mario video games is when I bought a Nintendo 64. I loved playing Mario 64, Mario Party and my favorite, Mario Kart. Now that I have children, they also share my love for the Mario franchise. My daughter always plays Princess Daisy and asked me to make her a costume. I took her to the fabric store and had her help me pick out some supplies. A Princess Daisy costume pattern didn’t exist so I used a generic princess dress pattern and customized it to look like Daisy.
She wore to to ballet class when they had “dress like a princess” day and she looked just like Princess Daisy. The fullness of the skirt flowed beautifully as she twirled.
I love the way the side poofs came out. They really make the dress look like Princess Daisy.
I added eyelet around the cuffs of the sleeve.
I thought an invisible zipper would be a nice touch.
And of course, no Princess Daisy costume would be complete without the daisy.
i dont suppose you still have the costume tucked away somewhere? My daughter wants to be Daisy this year, and i can’t find it anywhere!
It would be very easy to embellish a Princess Bell dress to look like Daisy. You could use any yellow dress and transform it into Daisy. I just used a princess sewing pattern and changed to look like Daisy. Let me know if you want to do that and I will help you with the specifics.
