These DIY Football Napkin Rings are a genius way to dress up your silverware for $0!
The countdown to Super Bowl 2026 is officially on! If you’re hosting a watch party, you know that the little details make the biggest difference. Here is one of my favorite “trash to treasure” projects – DIY Football Napkin Rings. I use this same method for every occasion for my Decorated Utensil Bundles! These look like they came from a high-end boutique, but the secret ingredient is something you’d usually throw away—an empty paper towel roll!
I’m obsessed with creating genius $0 hacks that look expensive. These napkin rings are fast, fun, and the perfect way to tie your entire game-day table together without spending a dime.

Upcycled Materials You’ll Need
To keep this project at $0, we are using items from your recycling bin and craft stash:
– An empty paper towel roll (or wrapping paper roll)
– Green “football field” napkins (I love the ones from the Dollar Tree!)
– White ribbon for the yard lines
– Craft glue
How to Make DIY Napkin Rings
These are so easy, you can make a dozen of them in under 5 minutes!
Step 1: Cut your paper towel roll into 2-inch sections. Each roll usually gives you about 5 rings.
Step 2: Cut a strip of your green napkin to fit the width of the ring. Wrap the napkin around the cardboard and secure it with craft glue.
Step 3: Add your “yard lines” by gluing thin white ribbon around the edges of the ring. I like to add a “50” or “yard line” detail to make it look like a miniature football field!
