DIY Cute Gift Wrap Ideas for Summer

Here are fun and cute gift wrap ideas perfect for a summer birthday gift or any other occasion. This summer gift wrapping ideas design captures the comfortable feeling of a lazy summer picnic. This easy to create gift wrap set includes a card, gift bag, and a gift box. Rickrack, fabric daisies, and ladybug buttons are used to accent gingham scrapbooking paper to achieve this look.

Gift Card   Gift Bag   Gift Box

Materials

  • White plain gift card,  white gift bag with stiff handles, white gift wrap
  • Yellow and white gingham scrapbooking paper
  • Small yellow rickrack
  • Fabric daisies (both medium and small)
  • Lady bug buttons (loop removed)
  • Craft Glue

Gift Card

  • Cut a piece of the yellow gingham scrapbooking paper 1 inch smaller than the width and the full length of the front of the gift card.
  • Apply glue to the wrong side of the gingham paper, especially around the edges. Attach it to the front of the gift card, lining up the edge of the paper with the right edge of the card.
  • Cut a piece of the rick rack the entire length of the front of the card.
  • Attach the piece of rickrack to the card with craft glue, overlapping the edge of the gingham paper.

  • Cut the stems off of the flowers so they are flat on the bottom.
  • Apply a small amount glue to the back of each of the flowers and attach to the card in the configuration shown below.
  • Apply glue to the back of the ladybug button and attach it to the center of the larger flower at a slight angle.

DIY Summer Gift Bag

  • Cut a piece of the gingham scrapbooking paper the entire width and two inches smaller than the length of the front of the bag.
  • Apply glue to the wrong side of the gingham paper, especially around the edges. Attach it to the front of the bag centered between the top and bottom and lining up the edges of the paper with the edges of the bag.
  • Cut two pieces of the rick rack the entire width of the front of the gift bag.
  • Using the craft glue, attach each piece of rick rack to the front of the gift bag so they are centered over each edge of the gingham craft paper.

  • Cut the stems off of the flowers so they are flat on the bottom.
  • Apply a small amount of craft glue to the back of each of the flowers and attach to the bag in the configuration shown below.
  • Apply glue to the back of the ladybug button and attach it to the center of the larger flower at a slight angle.
  • Fill the bag with layered tissue paper.

Cute Gift Wrap Ideas Gift Box

  • Wrap a box in white wrapping paper.
  • Cut a piece of the gingham scrapbooking paper 2 inches smaller than the length and the full width of the top of the box.
  • Apply glue to the wrong side of the craft paper especially around the edges. Attach the craft paper to the box, centering the paper evenly on the top of the box.
  • Cut two pieces of the rick rack the entire width of the front of the box.
  • Glue each piece of rickrack to the front of the box so they are centered over the edges of the gingham craft paper.

  • Cut the stems off of the flowers so they are flat on the bottom.
  • Apply a small amount of glue to the back of each of the flowers and attach to the box in the configuration shown below.
  • Glue to the back of the ladybug button and attach it to the center of the larger flower.
