Chill-out-music

You can learn a lot about a person by their taste in music.  I find myself listening to different music genres depending on my mood. Although I love all types of music, some of my most creative times are when I am working in my basement studio at night, listening to instrumental music without or with very few words. This style of music is extremely thought provoking and inspirational. Somehow it seems to pull creative images out of my mind that I would not have had if I was distracted by singing. In order to clear my head to be my most artistic, I like my music to be somewhat somber and chill.

I would love to hear what type of music you like and when you like to listen to it.

Some of my instrumental favorites are:

Øystein Sevåg

#1 – Link
#2 – Bridge

I get absorbed into his amazing instrumentals that are played with such emotion.

Here is a link to one of the songs I love:

Gustavo Santaolalla

#3 – Ronroco

His rapid picking and strumming of strings create such a beautiful and thought provoking sound.

This song was featured in multiple movie soundtracks:

Moby

#4 – Moby Wait for Me
#5 – Moby Destroyed

What can I say…I just love Moby! I am addicted to these two CDs while I design my projects.

Here is one of the songs from the Destroyed CD:
