1. The “Expensive Look” Shamrock Necklace
It’s amazing that you can make a stunning Shamrock Necklace in less than 5 minutes! For this design, I used a simple $1.50 Dollar Tree green bead necklace and a glittery foam shamrock.
How I made the Shamrock Necklace –
I start by hot-gluing a strand of beads onto the shamrock to create a custom pendant.
Glue a small gold shamrock accent cut from a Dollar Tree necklace, right in the middle.
I then glued on a green bead from a Dollar Tree necklace on top of the gold shamrock. Isn’t it stunning? It looks like a custom piece of jewelry from a holiday boutique!
Wait until you see how fast this comes together! ☘️

2. The 5-Minute DIY St. Patrick’s Day Tie
You can easily make a professional-looking St. Patrick’s Day tie in less than five minutes using my Tie Pattern for Felt. You can find thicker green felt at the craft store in sheets.
How I made the St. Patrick’s DIY Day Tie –
I use a piece of green felt and my Tie Pattern for Felt to cut out the perfect tie shape.
This is my favorite “Troubleshooting” hack I used for this tie. Instead of sewing, I cinch the fabric about an inch from the top and wrap a gold twist tie around it. This creates that perfect “tie knot” shape instantly!
I then decorate the front with green shamrocks I cut from a $1.50 Dollar Tree necklace. If you’re looking for easy St. Patrick’s Day accessories, this is the perfect solution. You can wear this like a necklace using a simple piece of elastic attached to the top of the tie and slipped over your head. It’s so fun and easy!
3. Boutique Style Bow Tie & Headband
If you prefer to wear a bow tie, you can use leftover felt from the tie project to make a matching set. I used a rectangle piece of felt to create this whimsical bow tie. Rather than figuring out what size you need to make the rectangle, I’ve included this free printable pattern the size I used for this Bow Tie Pattern for Felt.
How I made the St. Patrick’s Day DIY Bow Tie and Headband –
Gather the center of a felt rectangle to make the bow shape and secure it with another twist tie. Hot glue a piece of elastic the length the size of a short necklace to the back of the bow and tie the ends together.
Wrap a piece of gold ribbon around the center of the bow tie to cover the twist tie and as an accent. I love using leftover Christmas ribbon like a beautiful gold glitter ribbon. These little touches elevate the look and make it feel more high-end.
You can slip the bow tie around your neck or hot-glue it to a headband for a cute hair accessory!
4. The Matching Beaded Bracelet
To complete the look, let’s make a matching St. Patrick’s Day Bracelet. As a designer, I love “closing the loop” on an outfit.
How I made he St. Patrick’s Day DIY Bracelet –
I use the leftover felt and beads from the Dollar Tree necklace to decorate the front of the bracelet. Hot glue a piece of elastic about 2 inched longer than the length of a bracelet to the back of the felt.
I then hot-glue a pieces of the shamrock beads and the green beaded necklace to the felt. Add rhinestones to the center of the shamrocks to add sparkle.
It takes less than 5 minutes to make, but it adds that final layer of polish to your St. Paddy’s Day outfit.
You can easily make another bracelet by using a wider piece of elastic, ribbon and accented with rhinestone mesh and leftover pieces of the necklace used in the other designs.
5. The Showstopper High-End Top Hat
Now for the ultimate finale! I learned how to easily make a standard St. Patrick’s Day hat from Dollar Tree look like Boutique-style results. It is easier to make than it looks!
How I made the St. Patrick’s Day DIY Hat –
The green hat I found at Dollar Tree already comes with a black ribbon and buckle, so it was a perfect foundation.
I added layers of green sparkly ribbon and rhinestone mesh strips around the brim, through the buckle and top of the had to give it texture.
To create a massive, multi-layered bow using gold and green glitter ribbon glued into loops and layered at angle to to look like a flower.
Finish the hat with a large green flower, a shamrock accent leftover from the shamrock necklace, and some feathers for drama.
STUNNING! This is the perfect Saint Patrick’s Day decoration DIY for anyone who wants to stand out at a party or parade. It also would make fun and festive St. Patrick’s Day Decor!
