Leftover Turkey Recipe – The Anatomy of a Thanksgiving Sandwich

Leftover turkey

As much as I love a traditional Thanksgiving feast, it is all the leftover turkey and sides that I look forward to eating. One of my all-time favorites is the Thanksgiving sandwich. I layer turkey, stuffing, gravy and even cranberry sauce onto a crusty loaf, with just a touch of mayonnaise. I wrap my creation tightly in foil and bake until all of the flavors meld together. It is so unbelievably delicious and satisfying, it is worth all of the work required to make a Thanksgiving meal just to be able to enjoy this tasty Thanksgiving sandwich the next day.
