How to make Faberge Eggs

Here’s a step-by-step tutorial on how to make Faberge Eggs gift boxes. I have always been fascinated with the jewel, encrusted Faberge Eggs and the amazing craftsmanship used to create these beautiful works of art. I thought it would be fun to make some candy box versions of these luxurious eggs. These would add something special and unexpected touch at each place seating at an Easter Brunch. They also make amazing gifts. Not only is it a nice surprise to receive these gift box versions of these intricate, gorgeous eggs, but it is also fun to open them to find hidden sweet treasures inside. These hand-crafted DIY Faberge egg boxes can be saved as a decorative container to hold trinkets and keepsakes. Once you learn how to make Faberge Eggs, you can apply these design techniques to different types of crafts like these over-sized Faberge Eggs made from large plastic eggs.

These are the materials for how to make Faberge eggs. I used egg-shaped paper mache boxes I found at the craft store and transformed them to look like some of the most famous Fabergé Egg designs. I used metallic scrapbooking paper and rhinestones to reproduce the jewel-encrusted gold and enamel eggs. The finished boxes can be filled with shredded paper to hold candy or a small gift.
